BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont libraries are making sure kids avoid summer learning loss by picking up some literature.
Vermont public libraries are launching their annual summer reading program with new books and events intended to foster a love of reading all summer long.
According to the Department of Libraries, studies show that students who read over the summer have stronger reading skills when they get back to the classroom than students who don’t.
