TROY, Vt. (WCAX) – Three people now face charges in a Northeast Kingdom killing.
The body of Kayla Wright, 29, of Derby, was found in a large toolbox in the Missisquoi River in Troy back in February. She had been shot to death.
Now, WCAX News has learned that three people are facing charges in her death.
Investigators say Jakiy Tramaine Corey Keith, 24, of Hartford, Connecticut, was the triggerman. He’s already in prison on drug charges.
And police say two Vermont men got rid of Wright’s body. They have been identified as Aaron Camp, 34, of Derby, and Terron “Josh” Pendleton, 34, of Waterbury.
Investigators say Keith shot Wright three times because she threatened to go to police about his drug dealing business.
