RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) – One of Vermont’s oldest continuous art festivals is set to take over Rutland’s Main Street Park this weekend.
The Chaffee Art Center’s 63rd Art in the Park happens on Saturday and Sunday.
Center officials say it’s one of their largest fundraisers that they put on twice a year. There will be food, free arts and crafts, and live music.
Center director Sherri Birkheimer says everything is under tents and that they are used to dealing with potentially bad weather. “It is Vermont’s oldest continuing art tradition, we have done this in many different weather situations. I mean, in October we used to have heaters underneath because we’d have the white stuff,” she said.
