BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The trial of a Vermont man accused of brutally murdering his wife could happen by the end of this year.
Police say Joseph Ferlazzo murdered his wife Emily on the couple’s one-year wedding anniversary in Vermont. Ferlazzo allegedly told police he shot his wife twice and dismembered her body, leaving her in the bathroom of their camper. Police later found the camper in St. Albans.
In court Friday, prosecutors and Ferlazzo’s lawyers tentatively agreed to begin trial in the first week of December.
They anticipate it will take about two and a half weeks.
