MARSHFIELD, Vt. (WCAX) – A Vermont teacher faces a charge of aggravated disorderly conduct following an altercation with a student.
Vermont State Police say on Tuesday, Twinfield Union teacher Kathleen Wheelock used a permanent marker to draw around the throat of a student after the student used a permanent marker on a classroom whiteboard.
The student wasn’t injured but reported the incident to school officials.
Wheelock is due in court next month.
WCAX News reached out to the school to find out what Wheelock’s job status is but had not yet heard back when this story was published.
