BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A popular game show is looking for Vermonters to “come on down!”
The man behind the iconic voice that speaks that famous line on “The Price is Right” talked to WCAX News about what it takes to get chosen as a contestant.
Announcer George Gray has been on the CBS game show since 2011.
He spoke with WCAX ahead of Saturday’s auditions, as the show is looking for a Vermonter to take the stage in LA.
“Be yourself. Have fun, when it’s your turn, shine!” Gray advised. “But you don’t have to be fake, if you’re like, I’m not that kind of person, they want to see genuine happiness and if you got a good come on down, show ‘em what it’s like. If you got a favorite game, tell them what it is. They just want to see, is this person going to have the time of their life on this show? So show them! You can do it! I’ll be calling you on down, I believe in you!”
If you want to try out, come on down to the WCAX tent at the Whoopie Pie Fest in Rutland from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
