BARRE, Vt. (WCAX) – Voters in Barre have approved their school budget for next year on their fourth attempt.
This latest proposal is down $2 million from the original budget proposed on Town Meeting Day but is still $3.6 million more than last year’s budget.
Boutin says the property tax increase with this new budget is way below the state average, with an increase for Barre City at 1% and 3% for the Town.
