Popular Beansie’s Bus food truck wraps up 80th season in Burlington

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Burlington’s popular food truck Beansie’s Bus wrapped up its 80th season on Monday.

Beansie’s has been serving meals to customers seasonally since 1944.

The bus parked at Battery Park serves a full menu of their classic Michigans, burgers and fries daily during the warm months.

Though they say business has slowed slightly with harder financial times, they are still thrilled to continue to serve the community.

“It’s time. I mean, you know, people started. We started off in April. April. It’s crazy busy. April, May, June, July and August. It slows down. I mean, kids are back in school and the weather changes, but it’s always good. I like it both ways. But, you know, always, you know, sad to see our friends go,” said Chris Corron, Beansie’s co-owner.

Corron says closing for the winter is always bittersweet but they are excited for their 81st year to begin in the spring.
