MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture is providing new funding to help regional dairy farmers and processors modernize and expand markets.
Just under $3.5 million is going to the Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center, which helps 11 states, including Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York.
In the past, the funding has been used to make packaging greener and bring milk into local schools.
