HUNTINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – One of Vermont’s most popular summits is easier to access after trail upgrades.
The Green Mountain Club says their multi-year overhaul of the Burrows Trail on Camel’s Hump is complete. The three-year, $700,000 trail rehabilitation project was intended to improve trail durability, climate resilience, and hiker enjoyment. It added rock stairs, water bars, and other improvements.
The popular 2.1-mile hike’s trailhead is tucked in the woods of Huntington and see’s nearly 60,000 people per year.
