BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Killington is announcing a massive investment in new energy-efficient snow guns totaling 1,000 new pieces of equipment for the next two seasons.
The move more than doubles their number of fixed tower snow guns between the main peak and Pico.
The additions represent a $7 million investment but will save electricity, fuel, and labor, and will reduce carbon emissions by over 5 million pounds per year.
