MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermonters who plan to mail in their ballots are being encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas says while mail-in ballots are an easy way to cast your vote, they still need to get to your town clerk’s office on time, which is 7 p.m. on Election Day.
All registered voters in Vermont were mailed ballots for November’s general election.
Copeland Hanzas says Vermonters who mail in their ballots can check the My Voter Page to see whether it has been received. If there were any errors with the ballot, like forgetting to sign the envelope, there will be a clickable “cure ballot” button that allows the voter to fix the issue online to ensure their vote is counted.
