HUNTINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Dry conditions led to a brush fire in Huntington Wednesday.
Huntington Fire Chief Tate Jeffrey says the fire is now under control but they’ve got a big cleanup ahead
He says it started with a small grass fire that spread into the woods. “Today, the fire warning was very high and Forest and Parks advised no open burning today. The low humidity was just a recipe for something like this to happen. So, pay attention to your fire warnings,” Jeffrey said.
There were no reported injuries.
