MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – A Montpelier juvenile is in custody following a downtown brawl Friday evening.
Montpelier Police say officers responded around 5:45 to a chaotic scene near the former Capitol Copy on Main Street involving a group of juveniles fighting with an adult. Police say they found evidence that the group of youths had committed a burglary at 64 Main Street near the former Rabble-Rouser cafe.
They say one of the juveniles also punched a woman in the face. They face charges including delinquent acts of burglary and simple assault.
Police say charges against others are pending.
