Burlington robbery suspect strikes again

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Police have identified the suspect in a bank robbery on Saturday in Burlington, and they say he struck again Monday.

Authorities are on the lookout for identified James Plunkett, 39, of Burlington. They say he robbed the M&T Bank on Pine Street Saturday morning, claiming he had a bomb.

Then, police say he hit the Key Bank on Bank Street around 11:30 a.m. Monday.

Police say officers have conducted multiple searches but have come up empty so far. They say Plunkett has a long rap sheet going back to 2011.
