South Burlington latest hit in string of bank robberies

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Another bank robbery is the latest in a string of bank robberies in Chittenden County.

South Burlington police say it happened on Tuesday just before 5 p.m. at the East Rise Credit Union on Shelburne Road.

They say a lone man came into the branch saying he had a ‘flammable device’ and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

He never took out a weapon or device and fled the scene.
