MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – More FEMA relief money is heading to Vermont.
President Biden made additional disaster assistance available for an increase in funding for public assistance projects as a result of severe storms, flooding, landslides and mudslides from July 2023′s severe storms.
Under the President’s major disaster declaration issued for Vermont last year, federal funding covered 75 percent of the total eligible costs.
Under the recent order, the share has increased to 90 percent of the total eligible costs.
