N.Y. state leaders call to postpone Amtrak delays for holidays

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – North country leaders are taking the call for Amtrak consistency all the way to the top.

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik joined other New York leaders in expressing concern to the Amtrak president about planned service reductions and delays coming down the tracks.

According to Stefanik, service will be interrupted on the Adirondack line starting next week because of construction in New York City.

In a letter to the Amtrak president, they called for a construction delay ahead of the busy holiday season, and a plan to prevent future service interruptions.
