Incumbent David Zuckerman on race for Lt. Governor

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Incumbent progressive Democrat David Zuckerman joins us live to discuss the race for Vermont Lt. Governor.

Originally from Massachusetts, Zuckerman attended the University of Vermont in the 1990s and was inspired by Bernie Sanders before serving in the Legislature for a number of years. He’s currently in his second stint as lieutenant governor after an unsuccessful run for governor four years ago.

The latest numbers show Republican challenger John Rodgers leading by about 6,000 votes – leaving the race too close to call as of early Wednesday morning.
