SCHROON, N.Y. (WCAX) – The New York State Police are investigating a fatal tractor-trailer crash on I-87 last Friday afternoon.
Police say Brian Canavan, 61, of Chittenango, N.Y., was headed north on I-87 in the town of Schroon when he drifted into the median and hit an embankment, striking multiple trees, and rolling onto its side. Canavan died at the scene.
Police say the investigation into the cause is ongoing.
