SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – One person is dead after a car hit a bicycle early Monday morning.
Police on the scene say it happened around 2:30 a.m. near the corner of Shelburne Road and Fayette Drive in South Burlington.
They say an SUV hit someone riding a bike that was towing a trailer. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
WCAX News got video of what appears to be a police cruiser being towed away from the scene but we don’t know if or how it was involved.
Police say the incident is still under investigation.
