BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The man accused of shooting three college students of Palestinian descent in Burlington last year is competent to stand trial.
Jason Eaton made national headlines last November after police said he shot the men outside his apartment building on Prospect Street.
He has pleaded not guilty to three charges of attempted murder.
Eaton was set to go before a judge on Tuesday but he did not appear in court. However, he was deemed competent to stand trial.
A deposition needs to be done by the end of May.
