BARRE, Vt. (WCAX) – Flood resiliency was on the agenda at the barre city council meeting Tuesday night.
Councilors detailed a plan to update the city’s current housing to flood resilient standards and make sure new housing projects also meet those standards.
The plan also laid out ways to centralize information to make their progress accessible and trackable.
The council will have a 6-month review of that progress in May and say they are considering building in flood resiliency funds into city budget. The plan passed unanimously.
