Fire causes Amtrak delays

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Two fires in the Bronx shut down Amtrak service to Penn Station in New York City.

Penn Station is a stop for both the Adirondack and Green Mountain Amtrak lines.

Both fires are under control, and officials say the fire at an Amtrak substation was lit by high-voltage lines that power the trains.

Amtrak had to cut power to their feeder lines as a result.

No one was hurt.
