Groton stabbing suspect captured in NH

GROTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A man accused of a stabbing in Calendonia County was arrested in New Hampshire Thursday morning.

Vermont State Police say Brandon Lackie, 36, of Groton, stabbed an acquaintance, John Faucette, 39, multiple times in the back on Monday evening at a home on Tinkham Road in Groton. They say he then stole his truck.

Faucette was taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and was reported in stable condition.

Authorities say the Haverhill Police Department and Grafton County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Lackie Thursday morning. Details of the arrest were not immediately available.

After being extradited, he will face charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, violation of conditions of release, and operation without the consent of the owner.
