MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Gov. Phil Scott weighed in on this Thanksgiving, saying Vermonters should celebrate good things happening this year.
“Let’s try to listen to one another without it being controversial because we’re going to have a lot of that over the next few years. Let’s not get too wrapped up in that over this holiday weekend,” said Scott, R-Vermont.
In a statement on Thursday, the governor also thanked Vermonters for their hard work in responding to and recovering from this summer’s floods.
And he said he’s grateful for veterans, members of the military and other first responders working on this Thanksgiving.
