Homeland Security investigation underway in Starksboro

STARKSBORO, Vt. (WCAX) – Department of Homeland Security officers spent Friday morning working a scene at a home on Route 116 in Starksboro 116, although details about the investigation are limited.

Just before 6:30 a.m., Vermont State Police issued a notice about a road closure on Route 116 in the area of Shamrock Road. The road was re-opened shortly after but police noted that officers would still be present in the area.

Authorities say this is an ongoing investigation led by the Department of Homeland Security. Authorities on the scene were not able to share further information.
