CHITTENDEN, Vt. (WCAX) – Changes are coming to a section of the Green Mountain National Forest and officials say it will benefit wildlife and how you recreate.
The public is being asked to weigh in on a proposed forest plan for the Telephone Gap, a section of the forest in Rutland County that includes the towns of Chittenden, Killington, Mendon, and Pittsfield.
The resource project aims to improve wildlife habitat and forest health, as well as provide wood products and recreational opportunities.
Ike Bendavid has more about the plans in this week’s Wildlife Watch.
