Selectboard approves reward for information leading to arrest of Scott Mason

ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – Saturday the Town of St. Johnsbury held an Emergency Selectboard meeting at 2 pm where they voted and approved the use of $25,000 towards a reward for anyone that offers information leading to the arrest of Scott Mason, 38, of St. Johnsbury.

Mason is accused of shooting Vt. State Police Captain Dale Jason Gray outside a home at 261 Portland Street. That is the address of suspect Scott Mason.

They say St. Johnsbury police officers were responding to a domestic violence incident at Mason’s apartment, but when they arrived, Mason fired a gun at them and hit at least one officer.
