ST. ALBANS, Vt. (WCAX) – Authorities say an Enosburgh repeat offender faces a slew of charges, including stealing a car, in St. Albans overnight.
Police say Brett Langdell, 29, broke into and damaged cars outside the Maple City Diner on Swanton Road, stole a tip jar from the Oriental Kitchen, and smashed car windows at the Market 32. Police say he also stole a white Subaru Impreza on Catherine Street.
Police eventually cornered him in an area off Bronson Road, where he allegedly tried to run down an officer before being arrested.
Police say Langdell has had more than 50 encounters with police.
