WASHINGTON, (WCAX) – Vermont’s waterways getting a resounding boost from Washington.
Vermont’s Congressional Delegation is celebrating the passage of the Nulhegan River and Paul Stream Wild and Scenic River Study Act.
The bill passed in the Senate.
It focuses on the ecological, economic, and recreational value of northern Vermont waterways.
If it passes the house, the river and stream will be studied as a potential addition to the Wild and Scenic River System a federal program to protect rivers with outstanding natural, cultural, and recreational values.
