WATCH: Police cruiser cam captures crash on slippery I-89

GEORGIA, Vt. (WCAX) – Snow-covered roads on Interstate 89 South on Tuesday morning led to a crash in Georgia.

A Vermont State Police cruiser camera captured video of a car sliding out of control and slamming into a truck on the side of the road.

Police say it happened around 7:30 a.m.

They say the truck slid off the road first and was being loaded onto a tow truck, when the other driver lost control and crashed into them.

Two people standing outside were hit and injured and taken to the hospital.

The interstate was briefly shut down but is back open now. The crash is still under investigation.

It’s a good reminder to slow down and stay cautious on slippery roads.

Troopers say they responded to numerous weather-related crashes Tuesday morning.
