Vaccine policy changes at N.H. hospital

LEBANON, N.H. (WCAX) – A change to policy means vaccination is no longer needed to go under the knife at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

That’s according to the New Hampshire Attorney General.

Previously, patients needed to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to get a kidney transplant at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

Now, Dartmouth Health strongly recommends – but does not require – the vaccine for transplant eligibility.

The move comes after a transplant candidate raised concerns about requirements to New Hampshire’s Consumer Protection Bureau.
