PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – A heads-up for travelers in New York’s North Country about Amtrak service.
Work started Monday on Amtrak tunnels in New York City, prompting delays and service cuts on train lines in our region.
Instead of 10 daily round trips on the Amtrak Empire Corridor, there will be eight.
The Adirondack and Maple Leaf trains will combine into one, forcing layovers in Albany. The Empire State Passenger Association says those layovers could last more than an hour and a half.
