BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Police are asking the public for help identifying a suspicious man seen on the UVM campus after an attack last week.
Burlington police said last week that a man assaulted a woman and tried to tear her clothes off. It happened on Nov. 2 at 1 a.m. near the intersection of Maple and South Prospect streets.
Monday, University of Vermont police released photos of a suspicious man seen on campus. They say they briefly detained him on Sunday but then he fled.
Police want you to call them immediately if you see this man and they say do not approach him. They also want to hear from anyone who can identify him. Call the UVM Police at 802-656-3473.
